We have an exciting job opportunity for an IT Governance & Cybersecurity Officer to join our Risk Unit based at our Head Office, Port Moresby.
PURPOSE
MiBank is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Governance and Cybersecurity Officer who performs and investigates internal and external information security risk and exception assessments. Assesses incidents, vulnerability management, patch management status, secure baselines, penetration test results, phishing, and related security attacks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify, assess, monitor, and manage IT governance and cybersecurity risks under the direction of the Head of Risk, in collaboration with the Head of IT and relevant stakeholders, and ensure appropriate risk mitigation measures are implemented.
- Maintain expert knowledge on industry best practices and provision of proactive advice and solutions to relevant stakeholders.
- Embed a culture of consciousness and transparency for IT risk management and ensure the nature and size of IT risks is well understood and owned at the right levels in the business.
- Regularly review key technology processes to determine compliance and control gaps, including facilitation of root cause analysis to identify trends and appropriate solutions.
- Provide guidance and support in the implementation of process-based IT risk and control assessments in business.
- Maintenance of IT Risk register and continuous monitoring of levels of IT risks across the business by tracking implementation of management action plans to mitigate or address identified risk, and issues as well as audit findings raised.
- Regular internal and periodic risk reporting to communicate an accurate and complete view of the IT risk profile and in a manner that guides actionable management decisions.
- Manage the IT disaster recovery plan including making updates, changes, business impact assessment and testing the plan regularly.
- Constantly communicate and lead education and awareness to all users with regards to best practice cyber security measures, together with policies and procedures.
- Provide visibility into current compliance status through timely tracking, trending, & escalation of cybersecurity issues.
- Establish a sound risk management culture through awareness to influence behaviour and drive the importance of cyber security compliance.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited tertiary institution in a technology related field.
- Knowledge of emerging standards on IT Governance & Cybersecurity Risks.
- A practical knowledge and understanding of Risk Assessment and Mitigation controls, maintenance of IT Risk Register.
- Minimum 5 years hands on experience with ability to implement IT security technical solutions.
- Knowledge of application security, database security, and network security.
- Knowledge of Technology Risk Management, Business Continuity Management and Outsourcing Risk Management.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to operate independently and make sound risk-based decisions.
