We are looking for a Systems Engineer to be based at our Head Office in Port Moresby providing
support to the Senior Systems Engineer and IT Manager, to ensure the stability, integrity, and
efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support core organizational functions.
This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked software and
associated operating systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the Senior Systems Engineer in provisioning, maintaining, and supporting core internal systems, network infrastructure, and cloud environments (Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID).
• Provide hands-on administration and troubleshooting for core Microsoft and enterprise technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory/Group Policy, Exchange/M365, SQL Server, and Hyper-V/VMware virtualization platforms.
• Support secure remote connectivity and infrastructure tools, including VPNs, Terminal
Services/RDS, firewalls, and core switching/routing.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues from Tier 1/2 support, resolving escalated tickets and liaising with the Senior Systems Engineer and IT Manager, on high severity incidents.
• Administer Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) platforms by maintaining agent scripts, triaging alerts, monitoring system dashboards, and executing routine maintenance tasks.
• Assist with network assessments, vulnerability scans, and security audits, ensuring compliance with established cybersecurity baselines and best practices.
• Collaborate on engineering projects led by the Senior Systems Engineer, assisting in technical research, deployment testing, and implementation of new technologies.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date technical documentation, network diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and system configuration records.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding incident updates, planned maintenance, and schedule outages.
Key requirements, qualifications and skills for the role:
• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• 3-5 years’ experience in roles relating to internal systems, cloud and network infrastructure

VEEAM Backup, Offsite & DR Site Backup, Site-to-site Replication, Cloud Backup Repository
Windows Server, DNS, DHCP, GPO, etc.
Hyper V Cluster, Failover Cluster, V-Motion
Windows Remote Desktop Services (RDS)
Windows Deployment Services (WDS)
Exchange Server 2019 (On Premise) | Office 365
SQL Server installation and Administration
Cloud Endpoint administration & Management
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Can work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Have a clean record from past employment
